FSVP
FDA FSVP training USA
A foreign supplier verification program (FSVP) is mandated by the FSMA, and importers are responsible for ensuring that the food they bring into the country complies with all FDA regulations. GHP evaluates FSVP documents to make sure there is a thorough structure for evaluating the history and safety of all sources. Additionally, GHP assists with Voluntary Qualified Importer Program (VQIP) requirements and serves as a Qualified Individual under FSVP.
The Foreign Supplier Verification Program is a key component of the Food Safety Modernization Act designed for US importers. FSVP requires the US importers to verify that all their suppliers meet the US FDA food safety standards and that their foods are suitable for consumption in the United States. The aim is to ensure that every food is produced in a way that offers the same level of public health protection as preventative controls and produce safety rules, if applicable, and that the food is not contaminated or mislabeled with regard to allergen labeling.
We help businesses comply with all the abovementioned requirements and provide an extensive FDA FSVP training program following a “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA. This will help you understand the FSVP requirements and how those requirements can be met in your particular circumstance.
GHP can perform international supplier audits on behalf of the US importer to ensure or to investigate whether the foreign suppliers meet the applicable FDA Food Safety Standards.
